Land Trusts' Spring Statewide Meeting.

Policy and Legislation Updates: 

                    Led by an expert panel, meeting participants will
learn about and discuss:

	*	Clean Ohio Fund renewal
	*	Property tax reform for conservation easement-protected
property
	*	State income tax incentives for conservation easement
donations
	*	Ohio legislation update 

Featured Speaker: 

                    Ms. Kirby Date, Countryside Program, College of
Urban Affairs, Cleveland State University

	*	Transfer of development rights (TDR)
	*	The status of HB 69, introduced in February 2007, which
would permit counties, townships, and combinations of counties,
townships, and municipal corporations to establish TDR programs.

	*	Determining Stewardship Costs and Raising Dedicated Fund
	*	Western Reserve Land Conservancy's Conservation Buyer

The Coalition of Ohio Land Trusts (COLT) is a voluntary association with
representatives from state and local land trusts, non-profit
conservation organizations, and concerned citizens dedicated to
sustaining and expanding the state's green and open spaces. COLT
provides a network and forum for professional and technical support to
the conservation organizations that work to conserve land for the
benefit of the people in Ohio. Those participating in COLT have diverse,
but complimentary purposes, ranging from the protection of watersheds,
to the preservation of prime farmland, to the restoration of natural
areas.

The Coalition of Ohio Land Trusts is convened by the Land Trust Alliance
