Thanks Tom and Kirt
as the market, and players, continue to evolve it is good that we all
keep each other up to date
With our Land Consolidation Strategy in effect, DNR is both
conservation buyer and seller now.
The "Class 2" parcels are available for sale or exchange only to
approved "Alternative Conservation Organizations-" and with
restrictions on future use and development. These parcels must remain
open for public access and recreation.
Best regards,
Ed

Friends,
It seems that LandChoices has changed since I was up to date on their
activities and conservation buyer-seller work has faded from their
priorities. Here's a correction from Kirt Manacke, who runs it. I'm
sorry
for the confusion!
Kirt writes: "If you don't mind sending a correction that would be
wonderful. Maybe say that a major part of our focus is providing
landowners
with land preservation choices, especially conservation subdivision
design
for landowners who plan to sell their land for development. By the
way,
LandChoices new website should be up and running in August."
