[Hoosier_LT] REGISTRATION REMINDER: Conservation Options for Freshwater Resources

Conservation Options for Freshwater Resources on December 8, 2006 at the
Maumee Bay State Park in Oregon, OH .***

This day-long workshop will be tailored to address the challenges of
protecting, managing, and conserving river corridors in the Midwest,
particularly those in the Great Lakes watershed.  The morning session
will focus on information sharing, and the afternoon will be devoted to
a hands-on exercise preparing a river corridor protection plan.

There are a number of unique issues that affect rivers in the Midwest,
and this workshop will identify tools, programs, funding, and other
resources that are available to land trusts and watershed groups. It
will highlight case studies and provide special emphasis on the
application of science in local approaches to river conservation,

Workshop leaders are Geoff Dates, River Watch Program Director for River
Network and Jonathan Jarosz, Midwest Field Representative for the Land

$80 for non-members and includes lunch and a copy of the book
